Instructions
Place the avocado on the cutting board then cut through and around the avocado lengthwise. Remove the pit with a spoon. With avocado on the cutting board, make 1cm slices through the flesh to the skin. (It’s tempting to cut the avocado nestled in your palm but it’s not worth it when the knife goes through the skin and slices a tendon in your hand. Cut the avocado on the cutting board!)
Turn the avocado 90 degrees and make 1cm slices through the flesh in the opposite direction.
With a fork or spoon, pick up the avocado in your palm and scoop out the flesh while applying slight pressure to the skin.
Put the avocado chunks in a deep bowl and mash with a fork.
Add 2-3 tsp of your favourite taco seasoning mix and stir well. Enjoy on tacos, fajitas, or with tortillas chips!
